To the tune of Yingtianchang · Calling Back
Calling back, still I straighten the empty robe;
the last warmth at its cuff stays on my fingers.
As the door begins to close, the sound rises again;
I listen through the silence, yet still turn an ear.
A finger curls slightly; the cup lies overturned.
Under the spoon, a broken tooth still remains.
I will not let the warmth in my fingers go first.
Earth, wood, fire, metal, water.
